Sneaky Snake Cake
Woman in the Middle | February 8, 2014Back when my girls were little I made all kinds of fancy cakes for their birthday parties. There was the castle cake for the princess party, the giraffe cake for the zoo party, the flower cake for the flower party…well, you get the drift. But as the girls got older I got out of the cake making business and we usually bought their birthday cakes. Well, last Halloween, Country Living magazine featured a cake with a snake on top:
I immediately thought of Eldest Daughter. She has loved snakes ever since a little black rubber snake entered her life when she was three or four. Somehow the little snake was named “SS” for Sneaky Snake and the rest is history. The minute I saw this snake cake I knew I had to make it for her.

It was even called “Sneaky Snake Cake.” How could I resist? So I put on my cake making mama hat and got to work. Here is the result:
It wasn’t perfect but it was made with love for my snake loving daughter. She liked it. That is all that matters!
