My Two Season Year
Woman in the Middle | October 5, 2012I realized something over the weekend. We have two seasons at my house - Garage Window Open and Garage Window Closed. When the warm/hot weather starts I open a small window we have in the garage to help keep the heat from building up as much as possible on those hot days we have. Then, when it finally cools off I close the window so the garage isn’t any colder than it has to be. I do both of these things because Blackie the cat sleeps in the garage and I want it to be as comfortable as possible for him. But that is basically it – window open, window closed.
We are still in the window open season. Monday it got up to 108 degrees in my area. On Tuesday it was 103. Oh boy! However on Wednesday it was down to 95. Believe me, 95 feels a lot better than anything in triple digits. We went to bed on Wednesday night with the ceiling fan still whirring over our heads, but when I woke up Thursday morning it was overcast, even foggy! There was a nip in the air when I went outside to get the newspaper. It stayed in the high 80s and I was in heaven! I am so ready for Closed Window season! We aren’t there yet but at least now I have hope!
