Getting SASsy
Woman in the Middle | October 14, 2014A while back I mentioned that I was trying to find a pair of really comfortable sandals, the kind you could spend all day on you feet in. One of my dear readers mentioned that I should try on some SAS sandals because she has found them to be very comfortable. To be honest, I hadn’t thought of SAS shoes in my search. Have you seen how expensive they are??? Besides, my grandmother wore SAS shoes, so, well, I had to get past that little issue. I did it with Alfred Dunner clothes, so I suppose I can do it with SAS shoes.
While we were in Vegas, Hubby and I killed a few hours in an outlet mall. They had a SAS store and I decided to check it out. I had checked out all the other shoe stores, so why not this one? Even in a so-called outlet the SAS shoes were mega expensive. The regular priced ones were $144 and the ones on sale were $108. Way too pricy for my blood just to see if SAS shoes suited me. Then I found a pair that was just my size, the only pair in that style left in the store. They didn’t have a price on them so the sales lady checked it out for me. After a 10% Columbus Day weekend sale, they were $58. That was getting down to a price I could stomach. I tried them on and they felt very comfy, so I bought them.
I wore them out to dinner that night and wore them home the next day. I keep wearing them because they are so comfortable. I just may have found my Disneyland sandals, thanks to Susan, who suggested SAS.
Not the fanciest shoes on earth, but who needs fancy shoes when you have a pedicure that looks like this???
By the way, no one, including SAS, gave me anything for mentioning their shoes, darn it.
