Magic Fingers
Woman in the Middle | March 20, 2012I went to get my hair cut last Thursday morning. I have, I kid you not, been seeing the same hairdresser for over 25 years. This has to do with the fact that I love Candy and everything she does with my hair. As a matter of fact, Candy has magic fingers. I don’t know how she does it but she throws a little product in my hair, pokes at my hair some, pulls out the blow dryer and waves it around a bit, pokes at my hair some more, sprays it and Voila! I have lovely looking hair for one day every six weeks!
I do not like to mess with my hair. I was in high school when the Farrah Fawcett hair craze hit. Since Farrah got her cut from famed stylist Jose Eber I would say he is to blame for my hair today.

I spent several years blow drying, using a curling iron, and spraying enough hair spray to create my own self named hole in the ozone layer. I think that poisoned me against having to work with my hair every day ever again. I still remember those mornings. Up before 6 a.m. Shower and wash hair. Towel dry hair and then eat breakfast to allow my hair to air dry a bit. Blow dry hair using round brush to help get those swept back Farrah feathers on the side. Then pull out the curling iron and further punish my hair into submission. Spray to death. Get dressed. Go to school. Just thinking about it makes me shake my head in wonder at how I did that. What teenager wants to get up before 6 in the morning??? I guess a teen age girl who wanted to look cute and fit in to the standard of the day. So now it is wash, comb, go. Oh, and Candy’s magic fingers every month and a half!
