Don’t Know What to Say Anymore
Woman in the Middle | October 4, 2017Since I began writing this blog, we have been to Las Vegas several times, including Christmas 2014. For those of you from other parts of the world, you may not realize that Vegas is just a hop, skip and a jump away from here. From my house, it is just three and a half hours away. For folks living the next county over, San Bernardino County, it is even closer. For that reason, So Cal is tied tightly to the tragedy that just happened in Las Vegas.
This is not a terrible happening in another state. We know people who thought about going. We know people who were there. I did not happen to know anyone who died, but people I know did. However, that being said, any tragedy is a personal one, whether we knew the people or not. This one just hit closer to home than most.
But, as the title says, I really don’t know what to say any more. The inner workings of a human mind are unfathomable at times. I just wish those who lost someone and those who lived through this tragedy peace and healing.
I still want to go to Vegas one day despite the horror that happen there recently
It is a fun place, and definitely not like any other place!
I think I am numb. It is just too common in these troubled times. Thanks for sharing.
History is a great comfort to me. It teaches me that awful things have happened before and it isn’t just that I am somehow stuck in a terrible time. Weird, I know. But it helps me.
I agree with you on that one.
One of my co-workers has her immediate family out there, and she told me they had to go on lockdown because they work in the area. :-$ :-\ :-! :’(
