Denver, Colorado
Woman in the Middle | August 28, 2017We didn’t get to spend much time in Denver on our recent trip, but we did do a little walking around and I wanted to share a few photo with you.
We walked up and down 16th Street, in the area they call “LoDo,” otherwise known as Lower Downtown. It is anchored by the state capital on one end and Union Station at the other. Here is the state capital. I am sorry that the angle of the sun didn’t let me get a better photo, so you could see the gold covered dome better
Union Station was a Beaux-Arts beauty built in 1914 that still sees trains, but has otherwise been turned into shops and eateries. After a warm walk, we enjoyed siting inside, having a cool drink, and people watching.
I was impressed with amount of flowers that were planted everywhere in pots and planters and couldn’t resist taking photos of them. I also liked the way they combined the flowering plants with other plants that had interesting leaf colors or textures.
Wow what great photos
Thank you! IT is the camera, not me. I have no idea what I am doing.
I was able to see the gold of the dome in your picture.
The discussion flowers with the smoky-green leaves were my favorite of the flower pictures.
I liked the ones with the lime green leaves. That plant, what ever it was, was in a lot of pots and planters.
My irritating auto correct changed my words! I said the dark pink flowers with the smoky-green leaves were my fav.
I like the lime green leaves too.
