Just Another Day
Woman in the Middle | August 8, 2017A list of things about my day, so far.
1. Within a half an hour of me getting out of bed, one of the cats thew up.
2. Cloud is not doing well so before 11 am I had driven to a friend’s house, borrowed a live trap and gone to the store to purchase tuna. Cloud is, of course, no were to be seen now that I am set and ready to rescue.
3. The good news is I have not seen a single ant inside the house this morning.
4. I took advantage of the stop to buy tuna to also buy milk, dinner for tonight, and batteries for the TV remote, that last one being the most important. I don’t watch TV that much, but when I do want to watch, I don’t want any dead batteries getting in my way!!!
5. While I am very upset about Cloud, I am blessed with people willing to share what I need to deal with the situation and a daughter who was using her comforting and practical tone of voice while I was weeping around the house about a feral cat I have grown attached to. BTW, I don’t get myself in these situations very much for this very reason. I grow too attached to things that do not share the same sentiment about me. Sigh. What can I say, I have a soft heart.
6. I have a Facebook page about our local history and I have answered some questions people asked and posted a photo of a historic figure. Not sure how I found the time, but I did.
How is your day going? Excuse me while I go figure out how to use the live trap. The You-Tube video made it look very simple. Ha! I made Eldest Daughter watch as well. I know my limitations.
Hope cloud is doing better, it is annoying when our remotes have flat batteries and we go to change them and find we don’t have any, although I can remember the days before remote control tvs were the norm in this country
I hope Cloud is ok. I fell apart the other day about a dog running down the side of the road, so I get it.
Oh yes. If I let my heart free we would totally have a hording situation going on around here.
I saw a VERY skinny, sparsely-haired coyote trotting in between businesses in Redlands, of all places. Poor thing! I hope God provides for it without any pet being part of its meal.
