Cats Cats Cats
Woman in the Middle | January 6, 2017Blackie continues to be way too skinny, and yet hauls his skinny you know what down the hall for fast as lightening midnight runs. Otherwise he moves oh…so…slow…It seems only the desire to celebrate or get away from his poop can get him to move like a wolf is nipping at his heels.
Meanwhile, Lumos started playing with little pieces of dry vine or jute like material. They are all over the house and he has great fun batting them around. While we appreciate him managing to find his own toys to play with, we couldn’t for the life of us figure out where they were coming from. Then, a few days ago, the light bulb over my head finally lit up! We have morning glories in our front planter next to our garage. Those sneaky little tendrils always seem to find a way into our garage, and then promptly die. Lumos was finding those little dead morning glory vines, breaking pieces off, and then bringing them into the house to play with. So nice to have that little mystery finally solved!
When Hubby is putting water in the pool, he puts a bright post it note on the sliding glass door to the back yard, to remind him he has water going. One was on there yesterday, about 5 feet off the ground. It caught Nox’s attention and he decided to try to get what ever that was on the window. He lept straight up in the air and darn it if that little sinker didn’t touch it with his paw!
I was folding some clean towels on the couch in the family room and hadn’t gotten around to putting them away yet. Lumos decided to lounge all over the white towel (of course). I didn’t shoo him off because he looked so cute and, besides, I already knew there was enough cat fur on it to warrant another washing. Later, I saw some dark brown things on the white towel. Looking closer, I discovered all the brown things were dead bugs! Who knows where in the garage he picked those up on his fur.
Having a little nap together.
Finding those two in your backyard was one of the good things that has happened to you and them. They are such a joy.
I think it was a great thing, actually! They are a joy, 99% of the time. It also helps because the other two are just so old and are having so many issues, it is good to have young ones in the house.
Pic is too too cute!!
They are always so cute! I have way too many photos of them.
