Woman in the Middle | December 7, 2016Poor Hubby has come down with a cold. While it makes his voice a very sexy low bass, I would rather he didn’t have to deal with being sick, poor guy.
Eldest Daughter and I made a crazy Costco run today. We bought all kinds of things, including lots of Christmas presents, a big package of toilet paper (since I have been forced to move on from my previous source for this product), a beautiful lighted wreath to hang on the front of the house, and a package of 60 Swiffer wet mop pads (see next item…). Eldest requested we buy a bottle of ibuprofen while we were there. We went to the OTC pain reliever section, and got the ibuprofen. While there, we decided to get some Aleeve, and some Excedrin Migraine as well. As I put all that pain killer in the cart, I said to eldest, “this is a sad commentary on the state of our family!”
Honey had a bad night two nights ago. She piddled in the house twice in the night. Then yesterday afternoon she pooped in the house, even though she had been outside less than an hour before. This followed a few days of more inside accidents than usual. This combined with some other things made me decide to take her to the vet today, It all may be related to old age and not something we can fix, but it doesn’t hurt to get her checked out, just in case. Old age is heck, what ever kind of animal you are. And that is why I bought the giant pack of Swiffer wet mopping pads. I am feeling a deep, deep need to clean my floors over and over again….
A nonprofit I volunteer for has a party every year (really two parties) for almost 1000 underprivileged children. It will be on the 17th this year so I have been busy buying up last minute things we need like more blankets, a few toys here and there, etc…. Sometimes I feel like Santa as I stagger out of a store, weighed down with packages, boxes, and bags. It is a good feeling!
Meanwhile, my living room looks like an Amazon warehouse. I have been trying today to get things out of there in order to get some decorations up in that room. That is only going so well, so far!
On this day that will live in infamy, Hubby pointed out something interesting. We are now just as far from World War II as the folks in 1941 were from the Civil War. An amazing thought.
My mum takes really strong pain relief think morphine, as well as stuff with codeine in it and endone whatever that is I know it is strong just thought I would share that. I need to sort out Christmas presents just can’t get motivated to do so.
