Oh What A Night!
Woman in the Middle | September 22, 2016Last night, when Hubby and I went to bed, he dropped right off, as usual. I did not, as usual. Then this weird sound started up. It sounded like a bumble bee in a metal container. I lifted my head to get a better idea of what the sound was and where it was coming from. It was coming from our ceiling fan. Oh no!
Summer may be over where you are, but, just because pumpkin spice is bursting out EVERYWHERE, doesn’t mean summer is over in my neck of the woods. We can assume warm weather will be here until about the middle of October. We need that fan!
So, as the bumble bee kept buzzing, and Hubby kept on sleeping peacefully (how does he do that?) I gave up and went for the couch. After feeding Blackie several times, or just setting him up by his food bowl to remind him that he still had delicious food if only he would take a look, I settled on the couch. Of course, Blackie settled in with me.
I know he didn’t want to sleep with me. But by hanging out on the couch with me he could instantly know when I woke up and would be available to feed him again. After 17 years, I know how Blackie’s mind works. On one occasion I apparently slept too long and he began touching my face with a paw. Excuse me for trying to get a little sleep, Mister!
I hope your night was free of buzzing and cat paws in your face!
Sometimes my cat will wake me in the middle of the night for a rub. She’ll purr in my ear. Sounds a lot like a 747.
I hope you can get your fan fixed soon!
It stopped making the buzzing noise. I also turned it off as we don’t need it tonight. We shall see…..
