Another Lovely Wedding
Woman in the Middle | May 2, 2016The big wedding we recently had the pleasure of attending was held at two venues in the historic downtown area of the big city next door. The wedding was at the Catholic church and the reception was at a building built in 1909 as the YMCA, but is now an events venue. As I mentioned in a previous post, the weather was unseasonably chilly and wet. It sprinkled a bit when everyone was standing outside after the wedding, but not too bad. As you can see, the groom was prepared.
I also like this photo. The bride needed someone to hold her bouquet as she walked around. She needed both hands to manage that dress! So the groom already knows what his husband job is, be helpful to his wife!
I also got a photo of the two bridesmaids. Youngest Daughter is on the left. People often think she and her friend Brianna are sisters, because they have the same coloring and all. But they are not. Youngest’s DNA comes from the Scandinavian and British part of the world. Her friend’s DNA is more from the Latin American part of the world. With the same dress, the same shoes, and the same hair style, it was inevitable that someone at the wedding would assume they were sisters, and they did. We laughed about it, as we always do!
The whole bridal party, out in front of the church, before it began to sprinkle.
At the reception, I took a couple of cute photos. One if of Youngest and her friend, the bride.
The other is of the cute couple. They are adorable!
The cake was very pretty, with its black and white theme. But I was having trouble getting a photo of the cake topper.
Finally! And you can see out the window to the street below.
All in all, it was a good day. Music, food and fun, all to celebrate the happy couple.
The cake topper is unique! Is that the parish house of the church across the street I see through the window?
Yes it is!
I can tell there was great joy in that day!
Yes, it was a really good day!
