And Spring Brings…Bugs!
Woman in the Middle | April 5, 2016I don’t like bugs. Well, that is not completely true. Give me a lady bug or a pill bug any day. They can land on me, crawl on me, and I am fine with it. But spiders and other creepy crawl thing, I would rather not deal with them. That is what husbands and adult daughters are for! “Why did you have children?” “Well, I knew one day they would grow up and deal with bugs for me!”
The last two evenings have been a bit buggy around here. Sunday night the kittens found a bug to play with. They are very good about that. We always know a bug is involved because Lumos manages to snag it (even if Nox found it first) and then growls at Nox to stay away from his prize. So it was Sunday night, Lumos growling away. Then Eldest Daughter got a look at what they were playing with. She thought it was a “baby potato bug.” Potato bugs are not pretty creatures. I would show you a photo, but I wouldn’t want to cause anyone to scream. Hubby got involved at that point, to send the bug outside. It was quite the production, as I refused to even come near it and Eldest was having a hard time corralling the kittens. When Hubby finally got the bug outside, he had to shut the door quickly as the silly thing tried to immediately get back inside.
I just found out last night that Hubby thought it might have been a small scorpion! OMG! Why would he tell me something like that minutes before bedtime????
I had already had bug trauma last night (second night in a row!) Youngest came out of her room holding a box on top of a plastic cup. Apparently, when she went in her room she saw something and though, “Huh, I didn’t know fur balls moved” and then realized the “fur ball” was a spider the size of a 50 cent piece. I told her later that I was surprised she didn’t scream at that point. I guess wanting to make sure that beast didn’t get lost in her room over road her need to scream and she got busy capturing it. The scream came when she tossed it, cup and all, outside, Hubby was holding Lumos, who didn’t like the scream, and Hubby now has a band-aid on his shoulder.
So a buggy two nights. Here is hoping tonight does not bring another buggy experience. I don’t know if I can take it!
I don’t like bugs either none of them at all they don’t freak me out but still I don’t like them
One word for you: Eeeewwwwwww!!!!!
