What was He Thinking?
Woman in the Middle | December 1, 2015I think we have already established that Nox is more of a daredevil than his brother Lumos. Just getting a broken leg by the time he was four weeks old told us that. But other things he has done showcase his daredevil natere. The way he would jump around even with a broken leg. He was the frst one to jump up on the bathroom and kitchen counters. He was the fist one to jump from the back of the couch to the bar by the kitchen. Lumos hasn’t even considered that last one. When new people come by Lumos runs away but Nox runs towards them.
But, the other night, Nox’s daredevil nature really showed itself in full force. It was about 10 p.m. so Honey was, as usual, fast asleep on her bead. Because she was dead asleep, the kittens could run around and do what they wanted without worrying about the dog chasing them, barking at them, or snapping at them, something she still does a couple of times a day. Because of that, they are usually very careful around her.
Hubby and I were watching TV. I heard him make a noise that told me all was not well. I followed where he was looking. There was Nox, batting at one of Honey’s ears. She was asleep, but, still, every time he batted at her ear, she wiggled it, which made the game even more fun for him. Egads! What to do? We didn’t want to yell, because that would wake Honey up. Just as I scooted forward to try and grab him, a spider ran across the floor, getting Nox’s attention. He stopped the ear batting and instead ran after the spider.
I really appreciated that spider who sacrificed its life to stop Nox from causing chaos! Silly cat!
Who me, a daredevil? I am just a cute kitten taking a nap!
All of my black cats (a total of 2) were that way. First into trouble. Incorrigible. Oh yes, and fun! Enjoy before they start sleeping all day.
God works in mysterious ways!
