Adios 2015
Woman in the Middle | December 30, 20152015 has been an interesting year in our household. Things happened that I couldn’t anticipate at all when the mirror ball dropped at midnight on January 1st:
I had vowed “no more cats.” So, of course, I have two more now.
I was no longer on the city planning commission. But, surprise, now I am on the Parks District board.
Then there were the things I did plan on that never happened:
I have two books that are THIS CLOSE to being done. Neither got published.
That little back bathroom was going to get painted….or not…
We have everything bought to redo the front bathroom, but, other than a new toilet, it didn’t get done.
We have all kinds of relatives and friends, scattered about So Cal that we wanted to visit. Didn’t happen.
Of course, some things were anticipated and DID happen in 2015.
Youngest Daughter graduated from college.
Youngest Daughter got a job.
Things continued to perk along at home and in the working world for hubby and I in the anticipated fashion.
The roof on Hubby’s shop got repaired, in anticipation of the El Nino rains (that just happened yesterday, but, it still counts for 2015!).
While the ticking of the clock can be a little disconcerting, now that I am a little older, I am still looking forward to 2016. Who knows what it will bring? Some things will get done, some things won’t, and a whole bunch of things we could have never imagined when the mirror ball falls will happen. I can’t wait to see what they are!
