I Can Not Even Imagine
Woman in the Middle | November 4, 2015I don’t have any nieces or nephews because Hubby is an only child and Brother Dear didn’t have any children. But a few days ago, a young woman who is like a niece to me had a baby. They posted photos of the baby online and he is a cutie. But it was a photo of the new mother, captioned by the new father as “Mommy loves baby” that really got to me. The freshly minted mom is looking down at her new baby, with her face scrunched up just a bit from happy crying. I almost cry myself every time I look at that photo.
What a journey she and her husband have in front of them Sometimes it will be hard and sometimes it will be full of joy. This isn’t the last time that new little boy will cause her tears, both happy and sad. As I look at her cradling her baby, my heart swells with love and joy.
Then I got to thinking, if I feel this way for an almost niece, what the heck will happen when my own grandbabies start to arrive? I think I will need a defibulater handy!
I talked to the new grandpa last night. He is over the moon, as is the new grandma. Everyone is tired but happy. I can’t wait to meet the baby. Welcome to the world, Richard! Life is a roller coaster ride. Put on your seat belt!
Hell yes when we become grandparents we find another level of love a feeling we as grandchildren never understood
Congrats to the new baby! B-)
