Fitbit Makes Me More Polite
Woman in the Middle | October 8, 2015I have been wearing my Fitbit for over six months now, but I just realized something today. My Fitbit makes me more polite.
When I go to the grocery store, I don’t fight it out with other folks for the closest parking space. I leave those for others who need or want to park as close as possible. Same thing happens at the big box store or the mall. I don’t park close by so I can get some steps in.
When I am in the store and I see a crowded aisle, no worries. I just take the long way around to get to the item I want. No need to push my way though in the shortest beeline to whatever I need. I need those steps!
When I leave the store, I push the cart out to my not so close car and empty the bags of groceries. Then, no matter how far out I am, I take the cart back to the cart corral. No more leaving it for the poor box boys or girls to round up.
I fully admit I am doing all of this to rack up more steps on my Fitbit. But, if the result is I am also less pushy and more polite, that is a good thing, too!
Good for you!
OMG you are so right. That’s a brilliant observation! I got mine a couple of months ago, and it’s kind of like a voice in my ear to get up and walk.910
Another benefit to the Fitbit. Maybe I need to get one
I love mine. It really makes me get off the couch and move!
