And Another Week Begins
Woman in the Middle | March 23, 2015I can’t believe it is Monday again. The weekends are so busy around my house. Saturday night our friends Bill and Sue came over and we enjoyed that very much. We heard great news: they are going to be grandparents! Bill said he is turning 60 this year and becoming a grandfather. Wow, that is a lot to take in one year, isn’t it?
Of course, on Sunday it was back to the grind at Mom in Laws house. You are probably wondering at this point if we will ever have it done. We sometimes wonder the same thing. But progress is being made. We made a list over the weekend of what has to be done so we have some sense of what is left. Yesterday Hubby worked on the basement some more while I puttered around upstairs. I am happy to report that all of the bedrooms are pretty much empty. We just need to clean them.
This week is spring break for Youngest Daughter, the newly minted 23-year-old. I made the mistake of asking her last night when she was getting up in the morning and she just laughed. Today we went shopping because one of her birthday presents was my promise to buy her some brown sandals. I had gotten a refund card from Macy’s about a year ago so we went there first. Normally I don’t shop at Macy’s much because it is too expensive for my tastes. But Youngest has challenging feet, wide in some spots, not so wide in others, with a very high instep. Happily, we found a pair of sandals she liked and that fit and the refund card just about covered it. As we left the store I told her she might as well face facts – she is going to have to buy expensive shoes the rest of her life.
Blackie is doing a bit better. he is eating, although not as much as normal. He is a bit perkier and seems more interested in life.
The first Mallard ducks landed in my pool today so I know spring is here. Just as quickly as they landed I shooed them off. I don’t need ducks leaving you know what in the pool!
And that is my life on Monday March 23rd. What is going on in your life?
Sounds like a good Monday, nice to hear Blackie is improving
