Hot Hot Hot!
Woman in the Middle | March 1, 2015A few days ago I went to Starbucks and got my usual – a caramel steamer. That is hot milk with caramel flavoring. I drink that because I can’t drink coffee anymore (insert sad face here). I forgot to ask then to make it at a lower temperature and so I wasn’t able to drink it right away. I had errands to run and stopped at two different stores on my way home. Both times I stopped I took the lid off my drink to help it cool off. I was in each store at least 10 minutes. In spite of my best efforts to cool my drink off, I wasn’t able to comfortably drink my lovely beverage until 55 minutes after it was handed to me.
I am thinking Starbucks is on to something here. Obviously their cups have some amazing heat keeping properties, and so does the combination of milk and caramel. Who knows, maybe that little dollop of foam on top helps keep the drink hot as well. If only all this heat producing and retaining power could be put to use helping mankind! But then, since going to Starbucks is so lovely, I guess maybe they already are helping mankind, or at least helping them be happy!
Wow, 55 minutes! What would the lady who sued McDonald’s for their hot coffee say about that?
55 minutes what the hell that is hot
I talked to someone at another Starbucks today. She thinks they made my drink “extra hot,” which is why it took so long for it to cool off.
