A Blackie Report
Woman in the Middle | November 13, 2014I mentioned a few weeks ago that Blackie was off his food and not feeling well. He got a bit better, but not back to where he was before. Then last weekend he stopped eating completely so he went to see the vet on Monday. We got the results back on the blood work and the good news is that it all looked good. The bad news is we still don’t know what the problem is. Blackie is almost 16 so he is at that age when things start to go wrong. He is going in for x-rays today.
While I might complain about the cost of vet bills, right now I would be happy to spend lots of money to be told that there is nothing wrong. Sigh. Poor guy. He likes to sleep a lot and when he wants to be left alone he goes out in the garage to sleep in his bed out there. Otherwise he hangs out on his favorite window seat, the one he is sure Hubby built just for him.
“I may eat a little bit, just to make you happy, but you have to bring it to me here.”
Aww Poor Blackie. I hope he gets to feeling better soon.
Poor guy. Looks like my Jake who is also 16 going on 17. He gets startled so I expect his vision isn’t good. He is getting old and I’m not liking it one bit. Where is that annoying active cat that used to drive me nuts! Now I whine that he sleeps all day. He’s going to the vet Monday for his annual. I have a list!
Oh I am so sorry for Blackie and for you worrying about him. I hope all the tests turn out positive and he’s only slowing down a bit.
I’ll keep praying for poor Blackie to get better.
It’s so difficult when they get older. I wish I could have talked to my boys when they were that age to ask them how they were feeling.
I agree with you about the vet bills, I would gladly pay them a lot of money to laugh me out of the office and tell me that nothing is wrong.

Good luck with Blackie’s eating.
