The Weekend
Woman in the Middle | August 11, 2014This has been one of those good news/bad news kinds of weekends.
Example 1
Good News: Friends came over on Saturday.
Bad News: I had to clean the house
Good News: They are really good friends and won’t judge so I only had to clean the house so much.
Bad News: No matter how much I cleaned, there was still dog hair on the floor.
Good News: The house is a little cleaner now.
Example 2
Good News: We brought a clock over from Mom in Law’s house. This required borrowing a truck, which is why it has taken us so long to do this. I see everything that we get done at her house as progress.
Bad News: The clock is 8 feet tall!
Good News: The clock is quite narrow so that makes it easier to find a place to put it in our house.
Bad News: I now have an eight foot tall clock lying on its back on my living room floor.
Good News: I now have that excuse I have been needing to rearrange my living room.
Example 3
Good News: I baked a cake.
Bad News: Um, I don’t think there is a down side to that, other than my waistline, and I am just not going to worry about that.
I love all the good news. Forget the bad.
Some good news indeed and the not so good news should be dismissed and not stressed over
Cake makes it all better!
Is it a grandfather clock? I bet it is beautiful! Wow, 8 ft tall!
Sort of a grandfather clock. It is very different looking. And oh so tall!
