This and That
Woman in the Middle | July 28, 2014I really wanted to tell the young woman at Ross that it isn’t “I can help the next purchase.” It is either “I can help the next customer” or “I can take the next purchase.” I was muttering under my breath about that one!
June Bugs have a very delicate touch. Eldest Daughter and I were just outside the grocery store. We didn’t buy much and I had a bag in each hand and she had the gallon of milk. I heard, “Mom…….Mom…..” and I turned around. “What?” I asked. She was hurrying up to me. “You have a June bug on your hand!” Just then I realized there was a funny feeling on the back of my right hand. You have never seen a hand jerk so fast in your life! How could I have not noticed that big old bug land on my hand? Like I said, June bugs must have a very delicate touch!
Some folks across the street are moving. It seems like they have been moving forever. They have been filling trash cans and then a dumpster. It is giving me moving PTSD since it was just four years ago that we had the misery, joy of moving into our current home, but it feels like it was just yesterday. It also makes me want to go clean out cupboards. I don’t ever want to have to rent a dumpster just to move.
It must be getting close to the end of the quarter for Youngest Daughter. I got up at seven this morning and she was already gone, off to study. Ah, the life of a mechanical engineering major. Her dad and I keep telling her, “This too shall pass, and then you will make an amazing staring salary.”
Hope you have a great week!!!
Good thing you didn’t drop your bags! That have me the creepy crawlies! And the hebby jebbies! My daughter is in the process of moving. Just two years of marriage and they have alreadand accumulated too much stuff. Mostly clothes and mostly his! And they don’t even have any furniture to move. My youngest leaves to go back to collage in a couple of weeks. I will miss him but I won’t miss his mess!
I do not like creepy crawlies on me but I am not as bad as my daughter who would freak out when she got one on her……………..she would drop everything and go crazy
June bugs are harmless but they are so big that they are still yucky!
From June bugs to moving vans, thank you for a peek into your world.
As a matter of fact, the teacher I work with and I are moving classrooms – again. I spent all day yesterday and today moving and cleaning. I’ll get to spend half a day tomorrow doing this too (We have a meeting we have to go to in the PM.). Then, I get to put everything away in our new classroom on Thursday and Friday. Yay.
Oh fun for you! Enpecially in the summer heat!
