Life with Girls
Woman in the Middle | July 5, 2014The bathroom contains 67 nail polishes. Really. I counted.
Crafts are a common part of my every day life.
So are magazines such as Elle and Glamor.
Pony tail bands show up in the strangest places, like the dryer and my bedroom dresser.
At least once a day I hear a high-pitched voice making choochy coochy baby noises to one pet or the other.
The acrid smell of fingernail polish drifts through the house.
If one of the girls isn’t home, especially if it is after dark, I live with a high sense of unease until I hear the door open, announcing her return.
Not a day goes by with out the word “Starbucks” being mentioned.
Both girls are home for the summer and my life has returned to normal. It feels so good!
Youngest and Eldest in front of the bell tower at our 100-year-old church.
You paint a clear picture of “normal” with the girls in your life and your painting is delightful.
Enjoy! The house will be so quiet when they go.
Sounds like a great house, you know I have hair bands turn up in my drawers and on my dressing table and I have short hair…………..lol I do, however, have 4 girls with long hair
