There Might be Somehing to this Exercise Stuff

I know, I know, that sounds like crazy talk coming from me, but the craziness and trauma that was 2013 caused me to add even more pounds and I decided it was time to do something about it. Everyone, and I do mean everyone, says you actually have to move to lose weight so, what the heck, I started moving.
I started going to exercise classes about two months ago, once or twice a week. Since Zumba started back up a couple of weeks ago I have actually gone to two exercise classes and one Zumba class each week for tha last two weeks. For anyone who is counting, that is THREE exercise classes a week for two straight weeks! Really, this is so not like me….
Last night Hubby, Eldest Daughter and I went for a walk. We took the route that includes a pretty good an uphill grade. Not my favorite because that up hill stuff is annoying and at times unpleasant. But I knew I needed to do it so when the other two insisted I went along. I got a little winded but otherwise powered right up that hill ahead of both Hubby and Eldest. Usually I am the one bringing up the rear. When we got to the top I asked if they noticed how quickly I did that. Hubby said “Yes, and would you slow down so we can catch up?”
Sheesh….there might be something to this exercise stuff, after all!
Exercising feels great it is the getting started bit that is the hardest thing to do
My Man and I have started walking. I too have put on some pounds that were not intended to go on. I was actually trying to lose weight when I gained them. Exercising is hard to do but I always feel so good afterward.
I am finding it true that the more you do the more you want to do. Such alien feelings for me….
