I Felt Sorry for Paris
Woman in the Middle | May 30, 2014I do not have a huge fondness for the French. Living in the land that tourists love, I get to interact with all kinds of people so I have had experience with the French. Someday I will have to tell you about the time one French man almost knocked over a tram full of people (the peopleinside, not the tram itself). But, in spite of my previous experiences, I felt sorry for the French recently when Kimye and family descended upon them to do a week of partying before the big wedding.
Who is Kimye, you are wondering? You know, Kanye West, the rapper, and Kim Kardashian the, uh, celebrity.
I was so tired of the media coverage of this wedding. I can only imagine how the French felt to have this happening in their own back yard. I pity the poor French family who thought it would be nice to take the children or maybe grandma to Versailles. You know, expose them to French heritage and some of the great art work of the world. Instead the kids and grandma got a lesson in what it is like to deal with crazed paparazzi. How special!
Only the partying leading up to the wedding was in Paris. The actual wedding was in Florence, Italy. Nice of Kimye to spread the pain around.
