All Hair, All the Time
Woman in the Middle | April 16, 2014Folks, how much hair can one 35 pound dog shed without going bald? Well, I can tell you right now it is a HUGE AMOUNT! My floor looks like some weird furry fungus is growing on it. I sweep it all up and then, just as I put the broom away, a hair tumbleweed rolls across the floor in front of me, just to taunt me.
Honey seems to be getting furrier as she gets older. Is that even possible? I brushed her three times yesterday and each time got an amazing amount of hair off of her. Last summer when the same craziness was occurring, I took her to the groomer and had them work their magic. She came home with much less hair and we had maybe five days of living fur free. But then, like a creature out of a Harry Potter book, it seemed like her fur grew back in faster and thicker than ever! So I don’t think that is the answer.
The poor thing hates to be brushed so every time I do it she gives me that “Why are you torturing me Mommy” look. Sigh. If I am already dealing with great wads of fur in April, what will summer bring? I try not to think of it.
It amazed me how much hair my little dog could shed so I don’t like to think how much a large dog like Honey would shed she is a nice looking dog thou
She is an Australian Cattle Dog, so of course she is good looking!!!
Honey looks so cuddly laying there; give her a big hug for me!!
I will give her a nice chin rub, but it I hug her I will have hair all over me! Ugg!
