You can’t answer a remote
Woman in the Middle | April 11, 2014I haven’t been sleeping really well lately. A couple of nights ago it was really bad. My hips were hurting from a weed pulling spree on the bank in the back yard that Hubby and I had over the weekend. So about 4:30 in the morning I was awake and stayed that way until 6. I might have eventually gone back to sleep, but Honey the dog decided at 6:24 her bladder could take no more. I tried once again to go back to sleep but Honey was having her own problems and the tip tap of her toenails was just too much. I finally got up, took some Aleeve (for those hips) and gave up.
An hour and a half later I collapsed on the couch. I usually put the phone on the footstool next to me but forgot to do that this time. Instead I put the TV remote. When the phone rang about an hour later I must have been in a very deep sleep. I reached over and picked up the remote and had a terrible time trying to figure out how to answer it. I couldn’t for the life of me figure it out! I kept pressing buttons and staring at the thing in my hand and yet the phone just kept on ringing. After about four rings I finally realized that the thing in my hand was not the phone. Lord, I felt like an idiot! But I also felt more well rested so all is well that ends well!

BTW, the makers of Aleeve did not give me a darn thing for mentioning their product in this post. It just so happen to be what I take when the hips act up at night.
So good to hear I am not the only one who trys to answer the remote
So glad is isn’t just me, either!!!
Thank you for the good laugh! I do hope your hips are feeling better!
My husband was so tired the other night, that when he started his “popping” noise that he does while he is asleep, and I called his name to get him to stop, he got up out of bed, went to the bathroom and got into the shower. It was 2 in the morning!
Hips are a little better. And I haven’t tried to answer the remote again. So I guess I am doing OK!
With 3 remotes, a cell phone and a “real” phone, I too have tried to talk into the wrong thing. How did we get to this?
