Falling Back is Fantastic!
Woman in the Middle | November 5, 2013The day we “fall back” in time is my favorite day of the year (outside of holidays). That extra hour always seems to jump-start my day and I get so much done. This past Sunday, by 9:30 in the morning, I had: gotten a good 8 hours of sleep, relaxed in bed and read a book for half an hour, eaten breakfast and read some of the Sunday papers, gone to the grocery store, filled up my gas tank, and put all the groceries away. Again, all before 9:30! I tried to pace myself after that but as the day progressed I also put away a load of laundry, cleaned out my canned goods shelf (including checking dates and chucking old stuff), shopped for a new outfit at Dress Barn, and took my youngest daughter to buy a pair of jeans.
I think that Fall Back day should become a national holiday – the day we clean out and toss junk. What do you think?
Wow! I can’t believe you got all of that done by 9:30! I like to get the extra sleep on that day, but I don’t like to see the end of Daylight Savings Time.
I don’t like the end of daylight savings time either, but I do like it being a little lighter in the morning when I set off for work!
I am a fan of daylight savings, it has just started here and unlike some (Tim) I love it.
Easy for you! Back east it means it’s dark, dark, dark and soon will be cold, cold, cold! Glad you got a lot done. My cats still haven’s had their internal clock changed. They want their food at the daylight savings time!
I have never been a fan of daylight savings time. The only good part is going back to regular time and the extra sleep. I have taken advantage and am getting up an hour earlier on weekdays, which is like getting up at the same time as before, so I don’t feel tired. LOL
Falling back doesn’t bother me but springing forward is a killer! That will bug me for weeks.
You are one of the productive ones. I fall back into bed.
