Rogue Phone
Woman in the Middle | February 25, 2013I had my cell phone with me last Wednesday about 1 p.m. and then I didn’t have it….Hummm…. I remembered it had last been seen sitting on the passenger seat of my car. Then I got home, got out, and then got back in with my daughter who threw everything that had been in the passenger seat into the back seat of the car. So, after work Thursday I went poking around. No phone could be seen until I picked up a little Starbucks pastry bag that had once held a toasted bagel. It felt suspiciously heavy for a little bag that should have had nothing in it but a plastic knife and a tiny, empty cream cheese container. Sure enough, there was my phone. How did it get in there????
Since both the bag and the phone were on the same seat, I am guessing the vibrations of the car caused the phone to slide into the little bag. When Eldest picked up the papers and such that were on the seat, she never would have noticed the phone doing its beast to get pitched into the trash. The little devil! I am happy to report that the phone has been behaving itself since then. I am certainly going to keep it away from little Starbucks bags!
You’re very, very lucky you found it in that bag. If it were me, it would have been in the trash and gone forever. This must be a good sign. Buy a lottery ticket immediately.
Oh, I know I was very lucky!!!
No you phone was hungry and was looking for food…………………lol my phone has been know to end up in the weirdest of places………..
I guess even rogue phones can get hungry!
Well, I don’t feel so bad for losing so many things lately. Today, I went shopping and forgot one of my bags in the shopping cart. I felt like an idiot when the store manager told me that half of my items were found by a customer service rep in the parking lot in a shopping cart in the bag that I left it in. Whoo! Sounds like the story, “The House That Jack Built”.
My things have lives of their own. They walk away, fly away, and disappear from my sight the moment my back is turned. Tricky little devils…
