How Times Have ChangedWoman in the Middle | January 30, 2013
I was looking though newspapers from 1905, doing some research, when I came across an ad for something called Scott’s Emulsion. It said, in part,
“Did you ever hear a mother worry over a plump child? There is no better bank of health for a child to draw from than a good supply of healthy flesh.”
I about fell over when I read that! I think times have changed a little bit since then! By the way, Scott’s Emulsion was cod liver oil. That must have been fun for the little kiddos to have to swallow every day!
