Nothing to Say
Woman in the Middle | December 16, 2012Of course, the title of this post is not entirely correct. I do have a few things to say. To ignore the horrible tragedy in Connecticut is impossible. But what to say? Too little in known at this moment to make any conclusions. We can all just hope that it is a very long time before something like this happens again, anywhere in the world. Now go hug somebody. I am sure they would appreciate it.
There are too many mentally ill people walking the streets who are filled with rage and anger. So many hospitals have closed and there is nowhere for these people to go. A psychiatrist I know who once worked at a state run mental hospital, Greystone, in New Jersey, told me that he saw many criminally insane people there.
We don’t know yet whether this killer left any records of having sought psychiatric help…this was certainly not the work of a person who had normal impulse control…
All I can do is ask the Lord to bring some comfort to those who are hurting. I believe that is the whole country. I do not understand why these things are allowed, but I trust that something good will come from this and we as a nation will grow closer to Him. I pray for those families and that community and our nation. It is time we humble ourselves, seek God’s face, turn from our wicked ways and pray.
