A liddle piddle
Woman in the Middle | October 12, 2012
The hallways in our house have wood flooring but the bedrooms are carpeted. I have a very different feeling about the first eight inches of carpet in my bedroom doorway than I did just a few weeks ago…
Our annoying dog, I mean our delightful canine friend Honey, has taken to piddling in the doorway to my bedroom. She has done it now three times in two weeks. The last time was last Friday. She somehow manages to place her little furry bottom so that she is just, and I do mean just, on the carpet, and then she empties her full bladder right there. Man am I glad I usually wear shoes or slippers around the house since her piddle area is exactly where I usually place one or the other of my feet as I enter the bedroom.
There appears to be no reason why she is doing this. On Friday she was in the house less than three when she let loose. So I have become the doggie door man extroidinaire now. Every hour or two, whether she wants to or not, out Honey goes to experiance the outside world. I would leave her out there more but then she starts to bark and I do have some pity on my neighbors. They are retired so, just like me (even though I am not retired, just underemployeed) they tend to be home all day.
I am happy to report that what ever got Honey’s bladder in a twist seems to have gone away for the moment. No problems for the last week. So I don’t think she has a problem, physically any way! Right now she is lying on the floor next to my chair, looking all cute and innocent. But I am still not going barefoot for the time being.
