My very own Sauna
Woman in the Middle | August 9, 2012As I mentioned recently, in discussing my recent foray into water aerobics, I really don’t like to sweat. Since I don’t like to sweat I really never considered installing a sauna in my home. But if you can get something for free….
In inland So Cal we always get a time or two of really hot weather in the summer. This week is our first round or over 100 degree weather this summer. Day before yesterday it was 104, yesterday it was 105, and today it may get as hot as 108. All of this heat wave happiness is supposed to last thought Sunday. Whoo hoo!
Around 5 p.m. last evening I strolled through the garage to let the dog out and oh my! That garage was nasty hot! This is horrible, I thought. It feels like a sauna in here! Then a light bulb went off over my head. Yes, it is a hot garage, OR it could be my own personal sauna! I could just strip down, grab a towel and go out there and sit in a beach chair. It would only take about a minute for me to work up a good sweat. Then I could run and jump in the pool! After sitting in the “sauna” I am sure the water in that pool would feel plenty cool! Who needs an expensive spa when you have your own personal sauna at home????
Don’t worry, I would never act on this heat induced craziness. And, hopefully, if the weather man is correct, I won’t have a sauna any more after Sunday.
It’s summer all year long in Malaysia. I understand what you mean about heat
This made me laugh. My sauna is the bathroom in the back of the house where there is no air conditioning. You walk in and it takes your breath away. I am so ready for fall!
Thanks for stopping by! It is still hot here so my garage is still breath taking as well! Yess, I am ready for fall any time it wants to come!
