Dreaming and Blogging
Woman in the Middle | July 18, 2012I had a crazy dream last night. I was on a cruise ship and a fire broke out. The captain, who in my dream was played by Patrick Stewart (who played the captain in Star Trek:Next Generation) decided that the way to deal with this dire situation was to turn the ship upside down, thus immersing the flames into the ocean. So the ship flipped over and I (and many other passengers) fell in the ocean. I somehow climbed back on the ship (that scene seems to have been left out of the dream) and dang if the captain decided he needed to flip the ship again. This time I decided I would ride out the flip in my stateroom. The dream ended with me and the person I was with, (I think it was one of my daughters) preparing to be thrown about our room. And what was I saying during all of this? “Well, at least it gives me something to blog about!”
So, even in my dreams I contemplate the value of an experience in blogging terms. I have to say that trying to come up with something to blog about four or five days a week definitely makes me look at life with a more observant eye, and, for that matter, listen with a more observant ear. Since I made a vow when I started this whole thing that I was not going to embarrass my family or take out any frustrations with them in my blog and I would try to avoid getting myself in trouble (and so avoiding local politics or any politics for that matter), it does cut down on possible blogging topics. Therefore, I must remain observant so as to come up with things to talk about. And that is why you sometimes get to hear about my weird and crazy dreams!
It sounds like your dream reflects flip-flopping events or feelings. Perhaps frustration with political flip-flops and your brain is giving you a subliminal method to blog about it?
Sounds like a thought….Another comment aid I should get a book about dreams to see what it meant. Maybe I should!
You might want to borrow a book about dreams from the library to discover what your dream means.
Isn’t it amazing where blog inspiration comes from? LOL, I am with you about the politics stance. Found you on SITS.
Thanks for dropping by!!!
