Caution: Caution Tape Ahead
Woman in the Middle | March 8, 2012Hubby was on his way home from work a couple of days ago. As a matter of fact he was on the home stretch, driving past a local high school not far from our house. He noticed the car in front of him and the two in lane next to him begin to slow down. Slower and slower they went until they came to a stop. What was going on? He looked up ahead and saw caution tape stretched from a street sign to a bush, completely blocking the two lanes on his side of the road. Several more cars pulled up behind them. There was no sign of an accident, a blinking red light, a police car….Finally he decided to take matters into his own hands. He got out of his car, walked past the cars in from of him, detached one end of the caution tape and rolled it up. One lady rolled down her window and asked him what he thought had happened. “Teenagers,” he replied. She laughed. The cars waited for him to get back in his car before they started back up. He saw no sign of the culprits, but you know they had to be close by. My Hubby, a man who is not afraid to take down fake caution tape! I do wonder how long those cars would have sat there if he hadn’t been there though….
I think someone would’ve called the police to see what was going on – and then those culprits would’ve had to make a quick getaway!
